Electronics Distributor
Our client was seeking to automate Receiving, Allocation, Putaway, and Picking at their 2 warehouse locations. Profit 21 was the ERP system being used. RoamingCode installed the RF Framework and created portable applications in a matter of days. One server running the Framework supports both sites; the sites are connected via a private WAN link.
The terminals being used are Honeywell 7900's. The warehouse personal print barcode labels via belt-mounted Zebra QL220 printers. The client had an existing license for Seagull's Bartender software; the framework uses a Bartender interface to seamlessly integrate label printing into the client's process.
Bottom Line: The client now has portable applications which optimize warehouse operations. The Framework has allowed easy modifications which have helped hone the applications over the more than 5 years of their usage.
RoamingCode has recently built an intranet site to provide the client's purchasing department with sales history analysis.
