Extended Track(XTRACK)
Extended Track is a meta-data technology that enables flexible tracking of corporate assets. This has been incorporated into applications for line of business management. For example, a biotechnology company that manages thousands of blood samples used in disease research; the attributes of each sample vary based on the disease that was exhibited by the donor. XTRACK allows this company the flexibility to easily add attributes that are tracked; flexible reporting is an added benefit.
Load Planning Console
The Load Planner Console (LPC) is a windows application that enables drag-and-drop creation of truck loads. Orders and Order Lines are shown on the left; truck loads are shown on the right. Orderlines can be dragged to trucks. Weight and pallet count are maintained for each truck load. Once a load is planned, it can be released for picking. RoamingCode has deployed this application in several enterprises where it is integrated with mobile applications for picking and shipping.
Shipping Console
The Shipping Console is a windows application that accelerates load verification and the preparation of shipping documents. Using the power of SQL Reporting Services, shipping documents are produced without tedium. Driver's signatures are captured electronically and merged with the Bill of Lading. The Shipping Console also builds import records that are consumed by the ERP system to prepare invoices.

Retail Distribution
Our client was supporting over 100 stores in the US. Product distribution was handled from
one warehouse. Picking was being directed via paper picking lists. The company's line of business system
was AS400 based.
A picking application was created that used ODBC technology to acquire the picking lists for each store. Workers were given "wearable" portable computers from Motorola with integrated barcode scanners. Items being picked were scanned into a shipping tote. Because of the high value of the inventory, a second verfication pass was added to the application.
Bottom Line: The retail chain now has a process with superior accountability, higher velocity, more accuracy, and less tedium.
